Volac expands with acquisition of Parnutt Foods

Leading dairy nutrition company Volac has announced it’s acquisition of Parnutt Foods, the specialist young animal nutrition business based at Sleaford in the UK.  

Parnutt Foods and Volac have worked closely together for many years and the acquisition will allow both companies to work with customers by combining joint knowledge and contacts to mutually develop the young animal businesses into the piglet, equine and pet food markets.

 “This acquisition is the latest development in our ambitious growth plans at Volac. Parnutt Foods is a successful business with an established reputation for providing quality products, advice and for really caring about their customers. The acquisition enables Volac to further develop our manufacturing capacity in the piglet, equine and pet nutrition market and it complements our factory in Felinfach, Wales where our calf and lamb milk replacers will continue to be produced”, says Volac Commercial Director, Eamonn Drea.  “The business will continue to be run as Parnutt Foods with production of the company’s products remaining at the Sleaford site. We would like to welcome our new Parnutt colleagues to Volac and look forward to working with them to further develop the business.”
