Online news websites highlight the advantages of INFORMED SPORT

Following Volac becoming the first raw ingredients supplier to gain INFORMED-SPORT standard, both Food Ingredients First and Beverage innovation have covered the news.
 
INFORMED-SPORT is a supplement testing programme designed to test supplements and or their ingredients for inadvertent contamination with substances prohibited in sport.  The INFORMED-SPORT programme aims to work closely with supplement manufacturers and suppliers, such as Volac, by providing high quality analytical testing to minimise the incidence of banned contaminants finding their way into sport.
 
The articles highlight the need for testing in order to reduce the risk of athletes consuming contaminated sports nutrition products.  The INFORMED-SPORT standard allows athletes to ensure they are taking a supplement from a manufacturer which is subjected to credible sports testing and appropriate WADA-related manufacturing controls, rather than none at all.
