17 May 2011
Volac, Europe’s largest whey protein manufacturer for lifestyle applications, will be sponsoring the second international Sports & Performance Nutrition Conference in Amsterdam on 26th and 27th May 2011.
As the largest producer of nutritional whey protein in Europe and with over 40 years’ experience in whey processing, Volac has a deep expertise in this field, producing high quality whey proteins suitable for a wide range of lifestyle applications. Its innovative and self-designed processing technology ensures the consistent production of high quality whey proteins, enabling their nutritional benefits to be maximised alongside the mix quality and taste within finished products.
Volac’s specialism in sports nutrition is based on over 10 years experience in the industry offering manufacturers a comprehensive range of nutritional whey proteins suitable for this high growth market sector. Volactive Hydrapro for water-based whey protein drinks and Volactive ProCrisp for crispy cereal are both examples of Volac’s whey protein ingredients that address the nutritional requirements of the sports sector, whilst combining the key consumer-winning attributes of taste, ease of application and convenience.
Delegates to the Conference will hear about the latest research and receive an update on sports foods regulation with two talks from Volac.
Volac’s Nutrition Manager for Lifestyle Ingredients and Vice Chair of the European Sports Nutrition Association, Suzane Leser, will be hosting two presentations at the event. Her first will look at the growth of water-based protein drinks and highlight the emerging research on protein for rehydration, while her second presentation will cover the latest developments in sports foods legislation.
Suzane joined Volac in 2010, following over three years in an R&D role at GlaxoSmithKline. Her role at Volac enhances the business’s already strong offering in the sports nutrition market and supports both the business and its customers in navigating the complex issues surrounding legislation in Europe, particularly in light of recent changes.
Suzane will be presenting her thoughts on 27th May, with her Hydration and Growth of Water-Based Protein talk commencing at 10am, while her Sports Foods Legislation talk will take place at 3pm. Organised by Bridge2Food, more information on the Conference can be found at www.bridge2food.com/spn2011.asp
