Felinfach is a modern dairy production facility based in West Wales and uses the latest membrane filtration and drying technologies to produce Volac’s high-performance whey protein isolates for the sports and active nutrition markets, lactose for use in a range of food applications and base powders for young animal milk formulas.

The site is powered by a low-emission biomass CHP energy centre, helping to deliver a minimal carbon footprint and is implementing a water recovery project to deliver our operational sustainability commitments.
The site also holds the following internationally recognised management system, food safety, health & safety and environmental standards: ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, FSSC 22000:2020, ISO45001:2018 and FEMAS, Kosher and Halal.

Our factory is situated on South Canada Dock, adjacent to one of Liverpool’s major bulk liquid handling berths.
We take liquid raw materials directly from ship to bulk storage, so that we have a ready supply available for use and we manufacture the Volac Wilmar MEGA Feed Fats product range under ISO 9001:2015, 18001:2007, 14001:2015, 50,001-2011 and FEMAS certifications.
This ensures that we meet the highest standards of raw material traceability and quality assurance, in keeping with our CSR and sustainability commitments.

Our factory in Port Talbot is a state-of-the-art fermentation and freeze-drying plant and it is where we produce lactic acid bacteria for use in our Ecosyl™ brand silage additive.
We are experts in the continuous fermentation process and work to pharmaceutical hygiene standards to safeguard the purity of our process.
We also have an onsite Research and Development facility to guarantee the efficacy of our products and drive product innovation.
The site currently holds the following standards and certifications: ISO9001 Quality Management, OHSAS 18001 Health & Safety, ISO 14001 Environmental Management, FAMI-QS Quality and Safety System for Feed Additives, UFAS and UK approved feed establishment under EC Regulation 183/2005.

Volac Wilmar Feed Ingredients (VWFI), have constructed a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for feed fat production in Gresik, Indonesia and it was completed December 2018.
Its Southeast Asia location enhances VWFI’s global reach, because raw materials can be easily sourced, new markets accessed and the supply of product maintained.
The site is fully GMP+ accredited and meets the highest standards of raw material traceability and quality assurance, reflecting our CSR and sustainability commitments.
