Volac created a global joint venture company VWFI with Wilmar International Limited in 2015 to develop our animal feed fat business around the world.

Volac Wilmar Feed Ingredients combines the nutritional reputation, brand presence and sales network of Volac with the raw material logistics and global operations of Wilmar.

Wilmar is Asia's leading agribusiness group, with headquarters in Singapore. Its diverse business activities include oil palm cultivation, oilseed crushing, edible oil refining, sugar milling and refining, specialty fats, oleochemicals, biodiesel and fertiliser manufacturing and grain processing.

The venture offers a complete range of branded feed fat products to address the needs of compound feedmills, agricultural merchants and farmers, including the MEGA-branded range of feed fat products.

Volac has been working in partnership with the US corporation Church & Dwight for over thirty years. Megalac® was licensed to Church and Dwight in the mid-1980’s and became the first commercialised rumen-protected fatty acid source available in the US. Today our licensing agreement is limited to product naming rights only.

Church & Dwight Co., Inc. is a $4.9 billion company, founded in 1846. Headquartered in Ewing, New Jersey it is one of the fastest growing Consumer Packaged Goods companies in the US. Under their BtoB arm ‘Arm & Hammer^™ Animal Nutrition’, Church & Dwight continue to produce feed fat products for the United States.

Volac works in partnership with ‘First Milk’ — Britain’s only major dairy cooperative wholly-owned by dairy farmers — and we source whey from their Haverfordwest creamery in south-west Wales.

First Milk manufactures cheese and produces bulk butter, cream and whey proteins. Supplying traceable fresh milk to a range of dairy manufacturers and processors across the UK, is also a large part of their business, supported by responsible sourcing and a commitment to sustainable supply chains.
