We are currently recruiting for a Technical Commercial Manager – Feed Additives (Homebased).

Volac’s Animal Nutrition Business is a leading product specialist in Sustainably Advancing Livestock Efficiency in the key areas of feed additives, feed fats and forage conservation.

The role of Technical Commercial Manager will specialise in Feed Additives and will be responsible for driving sales and providing technical support to customers in the animal nutrition industry.

You will play a crucial role in identifying market opportunities, developing business strategies, and delivering innovative solutions to meet customer needs. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, sales acumen, and strong communication skills.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs within the animal nutrition industry
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand market presence and achieve sales targets for feed additives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their requirements, and providing technical support and product recommendations
  • Work closely with internal teams including R&D, marketing, and operations to ensure alignment of product development and marketing strategies with market demands

You will have proven experience in sales or business development within the animal nutrition industry, with a focus on feed additives, and a strong technical background in feed formulation.
You will also have a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Agriculture, or related field, (advanced degree preferred but not essential).

We are currently recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager – Northeast USA (Homebased).

Volac’s Animal Nutrition Business is a leading product specialist in Sustainably Advancing Livestock Efficiency in the key areas of feed additives, feed fats and forage conservation.

The main purpose of the role will be to manage the sales activity of Volac Animal Nutrition products (forage and feed additives) in the region to meet the agreed objectives and budget. Success will be judged by the delivery of sales volumes and prices in line with the budget and the 5 year strategy plan. Ensure that Volac’s company brand and values are reflected in all that we do for our customers.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • To develop the sales of feed additive and forage preservation products to key customers (end-users and distributors) to deliver the success outlined in the 5 year plan. To achieve the agreed volume and price targets.

  • Identify, select and train distributors to sell products to end-users. Develop, implement and evaluate the commercial plan with set targets with each distributor. Support the distributors with sufficient technical and nutritional information and resources.

  • Identify the most important competitors and products and report these internally.

  • Stay informed about technological advances in forage conservation and animal nutrition.

  • To liaise effectively within Volac with the commercial team, the customer service team, production, the technical department and supply chain in order to deliver on the 5 year plan.

  • To be fully involved in the Business Management System. To be aware of individual responsibilities and to be familiar with and implement all relevant procedures.

  • Contribute ideas to the Animal Nutrition Innovation teams, with emphasis on forage and feed additive products.

  • To identify trends and changes in the industry in order to identify opportunities for developing forage products and applications, and report these to the innovation and commercial teams.

  • Provide accurate customer forecasts to feed into supply chain plans and to monitor any potential future volume changes.

  • Liaise with the North American Business Manager to provide information and opinion in the development of the pricing policy

You will have proven experience selling forage and/or feed additive products to agricultural supply companies and/or end users at a senior level. Be results driven and independent minded. Have the ability to travel both with the USA and internationally.
