Technical Support Manager

We are excited to offer an opportunity to join the Port Talbot Factory Team as a Technical Support Manager reporting to the Regulatory Manager.                  

Permanent – 40 hours per week

About the Role
The Technical Support Manager is the central link internally between Volac’s technical and manufacturing functions, and a key contact point for external customers and suppliers. The role will manage technical documentation, responding to customer requests, and drive continuous improvement based on customer feedback and product performance.  The role also involves managing Volac’s Innovations process for development of new and existing products and supporting the Technical and R&D team. 

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Experience of managing technical complaints/cases. 

  • Experience of Assist with internal and external audits: Cases management, innovations, product returns, e.g. UFAS & FAMI-QS, ISO, UKAS. 

  • Experience of creation of labels (e.g. Nicelabel). 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Scientific discipline (preferably Animal or Biological Sciences) 

  • Experience of Quality Management System and audit.  

  • Basic HACCP training. 

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 software (especially Microsoft Excel). 

  • Practical experience with laboratory work and data collation/analysis. 

  • Experience in the Food or Feed industry would be advantageous.
