Volac solidifies its commitment to responsible, forward- thinking operations
We are delighted to share news of our ongoing journey to improve efficiency and reduce carbon emissions with the installation of a rooftop solar photovoltaic system at our Port Talbot site. This investment represents a significant step towards securing long-term, clean energy for our operations.
The project supports our mission to reduce our environmental footprint and help the wider agricultural industry transition to a lower-carbon future. We are pleased to confirm that the installation phase is now complete and once in full operation, the system is expected to deliver annual carbon savings of approximately 84,564 kg of CO₂, supporting Volac’s commitment to reducing operational emissions and progressing towards its net-zero ambitions.
In partnership with Shawton Energy, we are also exploring additional solar projects across our sites to further secure long-term clean energy and reinforce our commitment to responsible, forward-thinking operations.
